Abstract. The energy crisis of early 2022 affected the entire socio-economic sphere of the Moldovan society. The national gas concern “Moldovagaz” faced financial difficulties while paying for the supply of Russian natural gas from “Gazprom”. The country experienced a rapid rise of prices for consumer goods and services. It became obvious that the ruling party of the president of Moldova, which won the early parliamentary elections, is not yet coping with the problems that arise in the country.
