The 4th issue for 2021 of the journal “Russia and the New States of Eurasia” has been published. The issue opens with the article on the current state and prospects for the development of industrial integration of the EAEU countries. As before, considerable attention is paid to Ukraine. The authors of the issue consider the prospects of the implementation of the Minsk agreements, analyze the results of Ukraine’s internal and foreign policy in 2021, and explore the specifics of Polish-Ukrainian relations. The researchers traditionally pay great attention to political processes in neighboring countries – they analyze the situation in Belarus and the results of municipal elections in Georgia. The authors’ attention is also focused on the current problems of Central Asia. They analyze the results of the presidential elections in Uzbekistan and investigate the political situation in Kyrgyzstan a year after the transit of power. The economic problems of neighboring countries are also studied. The researchers consider the export of services by Kazakhstan and the prospects of the central bank digital currencies in the post-Soviet countries. In the 4th issue of the journal for 2021 the rubric “Environmental Policy” appeared for the first time. The articles on the climate policy of post-Soviet countries and the “greening” of the Kazakhstan’s financial system are published here. Much attention is paid to the problems of migration. The authors investigate the distribution of contingents of labor migrants from neighboring countries in regions of Russia, the reasons for the appearance of a significant number of higher-skilled immigrants from CIS countries on the Russian labor market, and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the situation of Ukrainian labor migrants in Poland.
