Abstract. The geopolitical transformation and the formation of a multipolar world in the first half of the 21st century will lead to the intensification of the policy of global powers and the strengthening of regionalization processes, when new global powers will strive to formalize their influence in the form of new alliances and blocs. Under these conditions the foreign policy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, based on the principle of strategic balanced equidistance from existing and emerging global centers of power, will place particular emphasis on strengthening the processes of partnership and economic cooperation in the Central Asian region. The main goal is the formation of a belt of good neighborliness and cooperation around Uzbekistan to achieve the goals of political and economic modernization of the country in the medium and long term perspectives.
