Abstract. The article explores and compares the roles of major international economic organizations (Eurasian Economic Union, Belt and Road Initiative, Eastern Partnership) in assisting in organization and implementation of an inter-state economic cooperation in the post-Soviet space. The analysis of their membership as well as of their concrete goals, current and perspective tasks and of some preliminary results of the already functioning projects is presented. A short evaluation of plans of a subregional cooperation in Central Asia is given too.
