Abstract. The article analyzes an impact of the fast growing labour emigration on the Ukraine national development. It surveys the geography of labour migration flows and dynamics of money transfers from migrants over the last 10 years in comparison with the East European countries. The conclusion is made that on the one side migrant money transfers serve as a stimulus for the market expansion, while on the other – the growing labour emigration has a negative impact on prospects of economic development.
