Abstract. The article analyzes basic stages of creation and evolution of the modern political and legal system in the Republic of Belarus (RB) as well as foundations of its constitutional order. Special attention is paid to the characteristic of Belarusian power instruments, legal principles of their functioning as well as of the activities of local political parties and other public organizations.
