Accumulation of crisis phenomena is being observed currently in the economic and political life of Kyrgyzstan. Unresolved economic problems against a back-ground of aggravation of the inter-elite struggle create grounds for social and political instability. Preservation of the previous foreign policy aimed primarily at strengthening cooperation with Russia by the new leadership of the republic may contribute to the improvement of economic conditions as well as to ensuring the external security of the Kyrgyz Republic.
