Abstract. The article considers the role of mutual innovative cooperation in modernization of national economies of the countries of the Eurasian economic union (EEU). The present condition of the innovative sphere in the EEU member countries is analyzed. Necessity of close cooperation in the given sphere for economic modernization of these countries is shown, available prerequisites of its activization are considered. Development of mutual innovative cooperation in principal direction both on bilateral basis and within the framework of the EEU is analyzed. Importance of coordinated modernization of the EEU countries’ economies under the leadership of Russia is shown.
