The EU Eastern Partnership Project: On the Issue of Competition in the Post-Soviet Space

Abstract

The article analyses the EU competitive possibilities of implementing the Eastern Partnership project for six former Soviet republics: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine. The author analyses its goals and objectives under conditions of transformation of the existing world order  and reassessment by the European Union of its global role, political, institutional and substantive aspects, multilateral and bilateral formats of cooperation in the framework of the project, and its influence on the integration processes in the post-Soviet space.
