Post-Soviet Central Asia and its Asian Neighbors

Abstract. The article analyses main directions of economic and political relations of post-Soviet Central Asian states with their closest Asian neighbors – China, Afghanistan and Iran. It examines challenges to the national security of regional countries and explores opportunities for further development of inter-state cooperation in economic, transport and power-generation sectors opening before them.
