Abstract

The religious situation developed in the North Caucasus by the beginning of the new millennium gives evidence to a broad re-Islamization of many Moslem na-tions in the region. Under these conditions religious organizations as well as repub-lican and federal authorities work out new approaches in their relations in order to stand against modern challenges.
