Eurasian Economic Union and Economic Belt of the Silk Road Project: A View from Russia

Abstract

The article analyzes statements of Russian officials, analysts and political scientists regarding possibilities of finding new ways of interaction between the Russian project of Eurasian integration (Eurasian Economic Union) and the Chinese pro-ject of the Silk Road Economic Belt. The author comes to the conclusion that bringing these two projects together generates strong interest and approval from the Russian side.
