Abstract. Results of the EEU activities during its first year of operation were highly contradictory. Although the integration process largely continued, its participants confronted with numerous internal and external problems. To resolve them the EEU members will have not only to work out an effective model of trade, financial and investment mutual cooperation but also to actively promote economic and trade cooperation with third countries.
