Rubric: Problems

Abstract. The article analyses prospects of resumption of railway traffic across the territory of Abkhazia. Raising of blockade of the Abkhaz railway is in the interests of Russia and Armenia but it is opposed by Azerbaijan and Turkey exercising strong pressure on Georgia as well. Consequently the resumption of railway transit across the territory of Abkhazia seems to be unlikely in the near future.

Keywords: Abkhazia, Georgia, railway transit
