Russia’s Policy in the Post-Soviet Space

Abstract. Russia’s policy in the post-Soviet space is analyzed in the article from the stand-point of its long-term strategic interests. The author comes to the conclusion that Russia aims at taking up a dominant position in that space acting as its centre of political, military and economic integration, offering various guarantees to  the CIS countries, and carrying out the policy of energy security.
