Abstract. At the parliamentary elections in Ukraine held on October 26, 2014, victory was gained by Arseniy Yatseniuk’s “People’s Front” and “Block of Petro Poroshenko”. Together with other pro-Western and nationalist parties they formed a “European Ukraine” ruling coalition in the Ukrainian parliament. At the same time representation of the Russian population in the parliament appeared to be much lower than its share in the country population.
