Abstract

Armenia’s joining the Eurasian economic union must help the republic to resolve its acute socio-economic problems. However the tragedy in Gyumri when an Armenian family was murdered by a Russian military deserter caused a surge of anti-Russian feelings. Under these extremely difficult conditions preservation of mutual trust assumes paramount importance for Yerevan and Moscow.
