Major Event (On Conclusion of the Eurasian Economic Union Treaty)

Abstract. The article analyses the reasons of establishing the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) by Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus and evaluates the impact of this major event on the progress of economic integration in the post-Soviet space. The article examines closely basic points of the EEU Treaty as well as prospects of joining it by other nations. Special attention is given to the analysis of internal and external problems staying in the way of implementing the goals of the Eurasian integration.
