The next in turn issue of the “West – East – Russia” Yearbook covers major trends and events of 2017 related to interactions between the global Center, Periphery and Semi-Periphery. Russia’s interests and positions in that setup is another major theme. The main topics of the international panorama are the political shifts in the states of the Western coalition, towards Russia including, problems of BRICS and post-soviet states, situation in Syria and other “hot spots” at the Middle East and etc. These and other aspects are examined not only in global dimension, but also in separate regions (including South-East Asia, East Asia, Latin America, and Africa).
