Japan in the Pacific region. Foreign policy strategy

The article describes the transformation of Japan's postwar foreign policy strategy. It analyzes strategic thinking of Japanese elites. It forecasts the development of Japanese - American and Japanese - Chinese relations. It analyzes Japan's approach toward DPRK. It concludes that changes in Japan's foreign and military policy are irreversible and will result in strengthening Japan's military capabilities as well as increasing its independence on the regional and global area.
