The paper analyzes the main causes, as well as social and political consequences of the global economic crisis in the context of the profound and widespread changes on a global scale, which took place in the world in recent decades and dramatically changes the basic infrastructure of life of individuals and peoples. In some ways it can be regarded as the top of the iceberg, whose base is hidden in the deep strata of modern society. It is a special case of a larger phenomenon, affecting all aspects of life at all levels of life of peoples worldwide, one manifestation of the end of the Euro-centrist world order.
