The article examines state development programs, the current state and prospects for the development of the national fuel and energy complex, and, based on the analysis, factors influencing the energy policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan were identified. The study was based on statistical data, official statements and the results of the country's activities in various areas of energy development. The conducted research is aimed at analyzing of the country's actions in the development of the national energy complex, as well as in the implementation of national policy in the field of international energy cooperation (both in relation to international organizations, such as OPEC+; and in relation to industry leaders), which makes it possible to evaluate the decisions taken and the development directions of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the energy sector.
