The current international practice is examined in the book in the light of the concept of political space. It covers a set of rules, principles and values that guide political behavior in some human community. In this case the authors refer to transnational space, where the customary framework of national policy works its way through a horizontal line (post-Soviet, European and transatlantic space) and / or vertical (multilevel governance). The consequence of these trends may be the international registration of the region as a complex set of stable connections and relationships where the political regulation is executed. The role of policy networks in the design of transnational governance is represented in more detail on the example of the European Union.
