Fomin Maxim
Transindustrialism - Upcoming Social Reality
Publication Type:

ISSN 0042-8744

The author analyzes the problems of modern social time as part of the main factor of evolution - human activities. The aspects of transformations under the conditions of existing “information symmetry” are reviewed. The article deals with the main technological, social and political challenges and risks that could radically change the conditions and quality of life, the principles and the character of the labour activity in 2030-2040s. The scenario prognosis of the society of the future, variants of its form of rule, political regimes and systems are presented. The author places the emphasis on the danger of loss of subjectivity and the importance of defense of the values of freedom and justice, real convergence of social development and free market economy. Considering the fact that the transition to the trans-industrial stage is expected to come with an unprecedented social crisis (huge unemployment rate, horrendous inequality, catastrophic changes of the people's way of life etc.), public association (collective intelligence), discussion and prevention of negative scenarios, social control over the implementation of innovations and technologies seem to be а suitable way to solve highly complex problems.
