The cross-border flow of investment especially direct one (where the speculative component is considerably smaller than in portfolio investment) is still active in spite of all world financial and economic troubles. Moreover as share prices for those transnational corporations that are able to demonstrate the relative stability (usually by choosing the less risky strategy of expansion before the crisis) are falling, there is an opportunity to buy at a good price attractive foreign assets in order to achieve even greater success in the development of own business amid the post-crisis growth.
