The Effect of Asset Values on Monetary Policy / Podkolzina Inna

The recognition of the disastrous impact of the market bubbles on the economy became one of the consequences of the global crisis 2007-2009. However, the economists have significantly different opinions on the question of whether central banks should or shouldn't take asset price developments into account in conducting monetary policy. The paper provides approaches of the US Federal Reserve and the ECB to the issue of monetary policy and asset prices.
