The issue of the regular publication Strategic Review is devoted to the analysis of the most acute and topical international security problems facing the world community in 2024. The authors studied the dynamics of escalation of confrontation between Russia and the West in the context of the Ukrainian crisis, the development of the conflict between Iran and Israel in the Middle East, as well as the potential start of an arms race in Europe. The political aspects of India’s interaction with the countries of the Southeast Asian region were examined in detail. An assessment of the intensity and nature of the proliferation of missile technologies in the countries of the Asia-Pacific region is given, as well as the problem of the use of nuclear technologies in the exploration of outer space.
