The authors studied a cluster of non-material sources of economic development. Many of the sources had been the subject of economic analysis long before. Apart from them a number of other sources were analyzed. Particular attention was given to social factors of economic growth, the role of human capital in economic development in the context of globalization, social policy of the state, immigration, democratic transformation of economy, etc. A growing academic interest in these subjects is proof that sources of economic development are currently being reassessed. Clearly social sphere is not only the object but also has it become the subject of economic transformation.
Keywords: economic development | immigration | democratic transformation | social sphere | economic transformation |
