The SARS-CoV-2 virus, known as coronavirus, quickly turned from an epidemiological concept into an economic one in early 2020, largely thanks to the reaction not only of the population of countries, but also their governments. Many resorted to a policy of isolation – various restrictive and advisory measures kept the population in their homes, and businesses were forced to stop their activities or severely limit the scope work. Sweden stands out against the background of other countries, it has chosen a different path from other countries to fight the epidemic. The article examines the impact of the coronacrisis on the Swedish economy after almost a full year of its co-existence with the main challenge of 2020 and contains development forecasts provided by Swedish economists.
