The monograph is dedicated to the analyses of the modern economic and social areas, defense, foreign and domestic policy of the states of Bulgaria and Romania, as well as to the undergone changes during their membership in the European Union. The matter under consideration is the role and place of Bulgaria and Romania in the EU and their importance for NATO. There has been done the research of both the migration and Ukrainian crises and their impact on the politics of both countries as well. It has been found out that the social activities of both countries, in judicial system in particular, are much influenced by their common socialist past together with the incompleteness of the transformation period. It has been also analyzed the attitude of the authorities and the society of the regarded countries towards Russia. The publication is intended to scholars, professors, research students and students, as well as to the laymen who are interested in today`s developing tendencies of the European policy.
