The 8th edition of RUSSIA, ARMS CONTROL, DISARMAMENT AND INTERNATIONAL SECURITY analyses developments in 2007 in international security; nonproliferation, arms control and disarmament; Russian military spending. The authors offer data and analyses, which illuminate both risks to international stability and processes of security and arms control, focusing on Russia’s involvement in counter-terrorism, nonproliferation, disarmament and human security. They examine arms control imperatives; the impact of the U.S. plans to install elements of its missile shield in central Europe on various international arms control regimes.
