The article deals with concrete results of the major strands of anti-recessionary policy of the Barack Obama’s administration. The authors highlight that the majority of government programs aimed at restoring socio-economic stability are focused not only on emergency short-term objectives, but also on long-term objectives like increasing the efficiency of investments in human capital assets, innovations, and infrastructure of the 21’s century. The authors also argue that efficacy of the financial regulatory reform will depend on whether it would be correlated successfully with the nature of challenges facing the US government and the world’s economy in the context of innovations in the financial markets and globalization.
