Based on expert estimates and official statistics, it was found out that a common global gas market has not been formed yet. It is divided into the following regional markets: the North American market (NAFTA), the EU market, the Asia-Pacific market, and the emerging EAEU market. The authors give a characteristic to each of the presented markets, analyze their main indicators, identify their features, challenges and risks. The article defines the conditions necessary for the formation of a common gas market.
