Quantitative analysis of mutual foreign direct investments in the CIS and Georgia.

The article deals with quantitative methods of analysis of mutual foreign direct investments (FDI) in the CIS. In the first part of the article, authors present index of mutual direct investments. It is calculated for various pairs of post-Soviet countries. Its size is determined by FDI stocks, mutuality of FDI flows, volumes of economies and dynamics of FDI recently. In the second part, correlations between Russian FDI stocks in main economic sectors of Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Armenia and Azerbaijan and their population, oil & gas resources and membership in the Customs Union are calculated.
