Public-Private Partnership (PPP) is becoming more and more popular term in Russia as the Government is searching for further development of various methods to govern the national economy under new circumstances. It is particularly important taking into account the unfinished task to privatize public property in some industries of infrastructure. PPP is basically just a different method of procuring public services and infrastructure by combining the best of the public and private sectors with an emphasis on value for money and delivering quality public services. The author gives the comprehensive observation of basic (theoretical) principles of PPP and following risks. He provides the wide picture of PPP’s experience in different countries and industries. The author assesses prospects for PPP’s implementation in Russia with particular importance given to the form of concessions.
