Problems of treatment and perception of history of GDR in united Germany

The growth of the support of euroskepticism and right-wing radicalism in the former GDR territory allows us to raise the question, if the unity of Germany hasn’t achieved yet? One of the reasons of the persistence of a difference between east and west Germany is the absence of a united concept about the history of the GDR. According to analysis of the official revision of the GDR-history, east Germans’ perceptions of the past, as well as the phenomenon of “ostalgie” we make conclusions about mistakes in a politics of memory and possibilities to correct them.
