The article discusses the positive and negative experience in Italy in the field of industrial and household waste management. Italy is a leader in the EU in the separate collection and processing of waste, is one of the leaders in the field of bio-economics and creating a closed-loop economy, and has a number of advanced technologies. But in the regional plan, the situation is not the same and is often exacerbated critically. The task is to comprehensively solve the problem of waste at the state and local level.
