The article analyses main directions of interaction between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Uzbekistan in the spheres of economy, foreign trade, diplomatic relations, politics and culture. A solid regulatory framework for bilateral interstate cooperation has been determined. An assessment of the proactive and pragmatic foreign policy course of Uzbekistan is given. The dynamics of Russian-Uzbek interaction at the present stage is shown both at the highest level and through the foreign ministries and inter-parliamentary ties of the two states. Their interaction in the cultural and humanitarian field is considered as one of the promising areas of partnership. Special attention is paid to various aspects of trade and economic cooperation between Russia and Uzbekistan; their joint efforts to counter coronavirus infection are revealed. It is concluded that the multifaceted and multi-level interaction of Uzbekistan with Russia corresponds to the status of a comprehensive strategic partnership.
