This collection of articles deals with Global financial crisis of 2008-2009 and its impact on countries of Pacific Asia. In the first place authors have paid their attention to how regional nations have come out of a crisis situation and what directions of polices they took during the GFC. Obviously various countries were experiencing different tendencies in economic and political developments during the GFC and it has led to its specific consequences for particular countries. The authors describe those differences at length. The second problem to analyze was an evolution of political systems or political situations in various countries under emerging of new political views or some changes in a set of political values – this evolution gets usually a strong impulse from acute crisis phenomenon as the GFC was. The latter has also revealed more clearly a rising role of Pacific Asia (in other terms – East Asia or Asia Pacific region) in the world economy and politics as well as the need for further strengthening of regional economic cooperation, which should not be prevented by complexity and differences of political development in various countries in Pacific Asia.
