The global climate keeping is main priority of global ecology agenda. The article is devoted to the analusis of the main directions and development trends of ecological policy of state and business in world metallurgy. It examines the main factors of ecarbonization of production, including of use of strict carbon tariffs and transition to «green» technogical structure. It examines also the real possibility of use of hydrogen technologies. It shows the ecological situation in the Russian metallurgy and also the complications and contradictions of transition to carbonless development.
