Some trends in the modern world in the geopolitical dimension In the Article the author attempts to identify and analyze some of the most notable, in the opinion of the author, trends and processes in their geopolitical dimension, which are particularly apparent in the last two or three decades. They testify to the deep shifts in systemic and structural components of modern world order and poses the question before its actors the need for reassessment of values, the development of a new foreign policy strategy to find adequate answers to new challenges. It is about a gradual weakening of the West and coming to the fore of new advanced actors in world politics, such as China and other East Asian countries, India and others, which became the equal of the West building blocks of a new polycentric world order.
