The article focuses on UK-Poland security and defense cooperation during the period of active transformation of the United Kingdom’s foreign policy paradigm and qualitative changes in the threat perceptions in the West (2017-2022). It’s noted that both countries have increasingly viewed global processes in terms of systemic competition and even rivalry. The multi-format cooperation between Warsaw and London fits into the logic of alliance theory and indicates an increased demand for their own security. The UK sees Poland as a militarily strong “frontline” state in a major confrontation in Eastern Europe, and therefore British involvement is implied to strengthen its own defence capacity “in the far reaches”. The same perspective has increasingly been shared in Warsaw in recent years. On assessing the institutional, technical and political content of the Polish-British partnership, it is concluded that the allies tend to pursue their security demands on a mutually beneficial basis predominantly in a bilateral format.
