The monograph is devoted to the analysis of intersectoral mobility of researchers related to circula-tion of professionals between universities, government research organizations, and companies, on permanent or temporary basis. Study covers three groups of countries with different levels of mobil-ity and concentrates on the analysis of major tendencies in intersectoral mobility, its motives as well as government policies aimed at it direct or indirect support. Positive influence of intersectoral mo-bility on effective knowledge transfer is demonstrated. Suggestions on improvement of science pol-icy in Russia related to stimulation of intersectoral mobility are presented. The monograph is addressed to specialists who study modern problems of formation and functioning of national innovation systems, science policy, and to the government officials and institutes for development whose tasks are related to development of scientific workforce.
