This article examines the factors that led to the strengthening the role of the international financial market under the system of financial flows by banks and corporations. The processes of global and regional financial integration, leading to the elimination of barriers between national and international financial markets, the growth in cross-border capital movements, the creation of a new structure of participants had a significant impact on the size and depth of the playing field. The article analyses the basic model of cross-border bank lending, trends, determining the development of this kind of finance in the modern period. It provides broad characteristics of the main fundraising sources by cross-border listed companies on the global capital market.
