At present, the danger of turning outer space into a space of military confrontation is signi cantly increasing. Facts of illegal destructive use of the US and other NATO countries arti cial Earth satellites (AES) in the period of military operations to achieve military and political goals increase the likelihood of escalation of the con ict during the crisis and are associated at the current stage with threats to Russia, strategic stability, and international security. The article presents the classi cation of AES performing military functions, reveals the possibilities of modern AES in the period of crisis and the analysis of the US satellite constellation as a leader in this eld. The author poses the problems of the illegal destructive use of US arti cial earth satellites during military con icts. Proposals have been developed to minimize threats, as well as to reduce the likelihood of an escalation of the con ict during the crisis.
