Hybrid confrontation is an important element of "hybrid wars", using military and soft power. Today, the factor of hybridity is becoming increasingly important, with opportunities for self-realization. The reason for this is the complication of the world, the growth of its integrity and interdependence, and, consequently, vulnerability, the possibility of causing significant damage to the enemy without the use of increasingly economically high-cost, militarily and politically "dangerous" and ineffective military power proper. In addition, this is a sharp increase in the possibilities of using information and propaganda influence, with a multiple increase in the potential of its technical component, as part of soft power to ensure a comprehensive effective impact on the enemy and on the entire external environment around him. During the conflict in Ukraine (CIU), the Russian rear becomes the object of the closest attention from the states of the "collective West" (CW), the United States, and NATO. Due to the inability to reverse the course of the military campaign at the front in their favor, attempts are being made to maximize the impact on the rear of the Russian Federation, destabilize it, and use for these purposes forces within Russia that show misunderstanding and dissatisfaction with the policy of the Russian state, including with regard to the CIU, a special military operation (SMO). This means demotivation of Russian society for consolidated, comprehensive support of SMO, causing additional concern in the battle zone. Today, in fact, one of the main tasks of the Russian authorities and Russian society is to timely realize these threats and challenges from the SW, which makes hybrid confrontation and impact on the rear of Russia one of the priorities of its policy towards our country. And to do everything necessary to prevent them, to stop them, to carry out effective control, including in the information and propaganda sphere.
