The article attempts to identify and critically analyze ideas of the end of ideology that emerged in the second half of the 1950-1960s, their system characteristics and purposes. The main purpose of the article is to justify the thesis that in the reality there was not and could not be the end of ideology, since the policy can not be imagined without ideology. It is shown that in this regard the last point on the i was put at the end of 1970th - first half of the 1980s with the unfolding of the so-called neo-conservative wave, when the ñonservatives, who are almost always spoken out against the ideology, advocated reideologization of policy. In the same context, interpreted the F. Fukuyama's idea of "the end of history", S. Huntington's idea of clash of civilizations, neocon's idea of export of the democratic revolution.
