In light of the dynamic growth of space initiatives and the need to manage limited budgets, the role of the private sector in the system of state space governing is becoming increasingly significant. The competition with China leads to the role reassessment of the private sector which has been recognized as a strategic asset and a decisive competitive advantage. The United States is actively seeking the most beneficial cooperation form with private enterprises to seamlessly incorporate cutting-edge commercial technologies into civilian and military space, thereby contributing to the successful completion of large missions and fostering a more adaptable national security architecture. In the study, the author draws historical parallels and evaluates the impact of modern technocratic trends on the nature of public-private partnerships in space exploration. Particular emphasis is placed on the processes of a unique space ecosystem formation.
