German Investment into Russia: Undeveloped Opportunities / Toganova Natalya
Being one of the most developed economies Germany is considered to be a beneficial partner in terms of modernization because it has developed manufacturing industry and German output is in great favour all over the world. However, low appeal of national market due to insufficient purchasing power and economic structure with dominating big business, which excludes the opportunity of cooperating with small German businesses, prevents from investment from Germany into Russia. The article calls attention to the fact that the common trend won’t be broken without institutional changes which are admitted by the government to be crucial as the country has still implemented demonstration projects and doesn’t pay sufficient attention to small and middle business as opposed to the authorities’ statements.
