The article is devoted to the analysis of such political and intellectual trend in modern Europe as identitarianism. The authors deduce the genesis of this phenomenon from the ideological heritage of the French “New Rights”. In the article they analyze the evolution of French and pan-European identitarianism, its main actors, ideological postulates, and also raise the question of its infl uence on the socio-political development of Europe.
